GPRC Library is a member of the NEOS Consortium along with many other universities and colleges within Alberta. The partnership affords you the widest access to books and other materials as possible. This means that just because it's not on our shelves doesn't mean you can't have it in your hands.
If you search for library materials and the results show that a copy is held elsewhere, simply place a request for the item and within days you'll have the item. For more information about this process, visit the Interlibrary Loan page.
You will be notified by email to your GPRC student email address.
In the case of an article, a time-sensitive copy will be sent to you. Once you download or print the article, it is yours to keep.
The loan period for books is two weeks. You may be allowed to renew up to four times, as long as there are no outstanding requests on an item. Once you receive an email letting you know the book is here, you will have a few days to come in to pick it up. If you do not pick it up, you will be charged $1 for every item brought in for you.
At this time, students are unfortunately not able to access ebooks held by another institution.
