Hello!  Welcome to the LibGuide for Distance Education students.  This is where you can find contact information and help with requesting materials from the library.  If you can't find what you are looking for, call the Distance Education Support Line and it will direct you to Library, Moodle, Elluminate, Videoconference, and Student Services.

Distance Education Checklist

Are you registered? 

No → Visit Student Services (Office of the Registrar)

Yes → ensure you have received a welcome e-mail from studentinfo@gprc.ab.ca (GPRC student services).
          In this email you will have received information regarding:

  • Your course and instructor
  •  Student number
  •  Library barcode/user ID

 

 

Have you activated your student computer account?

All registered GPRC students must first activate their Student Computer Account before they can access library resources, email, timetables, marks, and Moodle account.  Instructions can be found here.  If you are experiencing difficulty logging in with your default password (i.e. your own birthday in the following format: 1982Jan28)  you can contact PC Lab Requests: pclabrequests@gprc.ab.cachecklist

 

Do you need to buy textbooks? 

If your instructor requires you to purchase a book on campus, all textbooks and course materials can be found through the  GPRC Bookstore. Visit their website or call 780-539-2880 (Grande Prairie Regional College) or 780-835-6612 (Fairview College Campus)
