Welcome to the Learning Commons research resources! We have plenty of resources to help you with any research project. Use the links to your left. If you need any help, don't hesitate to ask a librarian.

Research Guides

The Learn How to Research guide is a great starting point for any research assignment.

Check out our Subject Guides for research information specific to your discipline.

Databases / Articles (academic, scholarly) and Interlibrary Loans

GPRC Databases offer access to authoritative sources.
Interlibrary Loan allows you to request articles from other institutions for free.

Books and eBooks

The NEOS Library Catalogue lets you search for books, ebooks, and other physical materials in GPRC's collection as well as those of the NEOS Library Consortium members. For those who prefer, this is the link to the previous NEOS iLink Catalogue. Log into My Account to see what items you have put on hold, have already signed out, when they are due, and renew them if need be. If you cannot find something in the NEOS Library catalogue try searching the TALOnline Library Catalogue. GPRC is also a member of The Alberta Library Consortium (TAL)

eBooks on a broad range of topics are also available.

Academic Journals and Periodicals

Browzine allows you to browse subject-specific academic journals.
WorldCat Journal Search lets you search for specific periodical titles (e.g., magazines, newspapers, etc.).

Streaming Videos & DVDs

Get another point of view in your research using streaming videos and/or DVDs.  You can get to both through OneSearch or the NEOS Catalogue or you can view the A-Z database list of streaming video products.  NOTE: Streaming video content is specific to each institution; it must show Grande Prairie Regional College - Internet for GPRC students to access it.
